Merry Christmas Everyone!

The holidays are, for the most part, aptly named. Thanksgiving is for giving thanks, New Years is for looking forward, and then there’s Christmas… which I think is for celebrating. What you celebrate can range from the religious to friends and family; from putting some things behind you or to new beginnings.

For me, this year, I’m celebrating all of the above. To simpler times, cozy Christmases, and of course traditions. And nothing screams tradition more than a Christmas party at Camp McCarty.

And in the spirit of the season, I’m sure you’ll forgive me for not alerting you to the party sooner. But as you can see, this party now has a new online home at https://mccarty.christmas. And as I have said time after time, “It’s always the Saturday before Christmas Eve, so you should already know about it and therefore an invitation is irrelevant anyway”. Really. I’ve said that. You are hereby mandated to attend. As far as you know. But I digress.

Please join me for the festivities. Here are the details:

Saturday, December 21, 2024 around 8:00pm @ Camp McCarty

• Bring nothing (unless my beer isn’t good enough for you). Food, drink, and amusements (such as they are) will be provided. Santa will be in the house, weather permitting. And he wants to try that sing-along again this year.

• Dress is Christmas casual, elf costumes encouraged, Santa Baby outfits for the ladies are very appreciated (and expected!).

• As in past years, I will have a parking attendant to shuttle you to/from your car.

For those few that have not previously ventured out to Camp McCarty, please drop me a quick email, and I will send you a map. Or I will mock you. Or both.
